After the change of government in Rajasthan, people are waiting to get mobile phones under the Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojana. Now a new update has come in this case. Congress MLA Indira asked the government in the Assembly that out of 1 crore 33 lakh families, only 24, 56001 women have got mobiles. Underprivileged women will get smart phones or not. There has been no response from the government on the issue. Responding to the question, Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore said that the decision on the free smartphone scheme will be taken in the coming days after examining the benefits to women and public interest from this scheme.
This scheme will remain in force or will be discontinued. There’s no straight answer. The previous government of Rajasthan had launched the Indira Gandhi Free Smartphone Yojana. Under the scheme, smartphones with free internet connectivity were being given by the government for three years. List of free mobile plans: First phase
In the first phase of the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana, 40 lakh women of Chiranjeevi families of the state are being given smartphones. The 40 lakh women who are getting smartphones in the first phase include government school students from 9th to 12th standard, students studying in colleges / ITIs / polytechnics, widows / single women pensioners, women heads of households who have completed 100 days of employment under MGNREGA, women heads of households who have completed 50 days of employment under the Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme.

In the second phase of the Indira Gandhi Free Mobile Scheme, out of 1 crore 35 lakh women, the remaining 95 lakh women will get smartphones. For this, women can go to their nearest dearness relief camp and register for the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana. Along with the admit card, candidates must also carry a valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, mobile number and passport size photograph. Widows / single women pensioners will have to carry their PPO number and girl students their ID card.

Which phone will be available in the Rajasthan Free Mobile Yojana?
Under this scheme, women get Rs 6800. This money is transferred to the e-wallet app through DBT (Rs 6125 for phone and Rs 675 for internet data for the remaining 9 months of this year). Women can choose a smartphone from the company of their choice, including phones like Realme, Redmi. If you do not like the phone, then you can take any phone of your choice by adding more money from your side in DBT Rs 6125.
- To get free smartphones, women will be given e-KYC at a camp to be set up by the Rajasthan government. After this, the e-wallet app will be downloaded and installed on your phone.
